Vichy Liftactiv Review

I'm pretty pumped to do my first blog review of a beauty product!

Recently I received a FREE sample of @Vichy Liftactiv.

I was instantly impressed with the packaging. I appreciate my creams in a jar so that I can actually use it all; and it was a glass jar so that adds a little bit of a classy feel to it. ;)

The texture of the cream would remind you of a good whipped cream, light and smooth. The smell surprised me at first. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, it's definitely a floral scent. After a couple of days I decided that I do really enjoy the scent.


HOW DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK THOUGH?

 I'm happy with the results I've seen in just a short period of time. About 1 week. My favorite result is the way my skin feels to the touch. It feels smooth and velvety; like a child's face would feel. It has started to help some of the lines that only I can see. Perhaps with extended use I would see more of a difference. 

My one and only issue with Vichy Liftactiv is that because of where I'm currently living I need to add another moisturizer with it. Keep in mind that I live in Northern Saskatchewan and it's February and the temperature has been hovering between -30 and -40 degrees. The weather is taking a bit of a turn and warming up a bit this week. We have yet to see if that will make a significant difference in my skin. If I was still living in Nova Scotia I would absolutely be adding this to my regime. Perhaps in Saskatchewan I'll add it for the summer months.

Over all I think I would give this product 4/5 stars. I love so much about it but it just doesn't have the moisture I need for cold, dry Northern Canada winters.

Routine In My Days

Good afternoon! Just for fun here's a picture of Spazz getting her nails done.  It's almost time to wake hubby to go to work at 6:00.  It's a routine. On days that he works a night shift, he goes to lay down and sleep from 3:00pm -5:00pm. It's the part of my night shift days when I get caught up on things that I might have let slide so that I could spend more time enjoying him. Routine. I like that. Today was anything but routine.  For the last 3 weeks I've been waking at 6:30am and getting chores done; laundry on Saturday; sheets changed on Sunday; floors mopped on Tuesday. And so on. Getting my routine on. Well today is Tuesday and the floors did not get mopped until after 1:00pm. It made me cranky. Do We Need New Furniture?

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful spring. We sure are. Not becasue we're able to get out more (because we walked almost daily all winter) , but because we can get out for longer and explore a little more. I get exercise and the dogs get to sniff all kinds of new things. It's a win-win in my book. But with the snow melting the ground is soft and muddy so the dogs get dirty and we have to brush them out more often. A couple days ago I took a short video on my phone of Wiley getting brushed while she was sleeping. She was adorable. She loves getting brushed so she just relaxed and kinda stayed half asleep during her brushing. I wanted to (and eventually did) share this video on social media. I was hesitant to share it because Wiley was sleeping on our couch in the video. You can see the video here . VDL Make-up Review

Good afternoon people! While I was away a special parcel arrived for me and I just couldn't wait to get home and try it all out. The special parcel was a new VoxBox from Influenster containing 11 different products from the VDL line. I received these products free in exchange for providing a honest review. All right now, let's see what I got. Naked Cleansing Oil Cream - This cleanser works amazing. It took everything off my face and left no oily residue or feeling. Just clean and hydrated! I'm a little disappointed by the scent though, it smells rather synthetic. I would prefer a little lighter of a scent. However, I will still use it because it works so well. And it could end up finding it's way into my regular routine. Lumilayer Primer - I felt like a pretty unicorn when I used this primer. A little too iridescent for me. It did camouflage pores and small blemishes. I didn't find that it helped much with larger bumps. It's not my cup of tea for
